Lyndsey Boyer

I grew up in St. Louis and graduated from Maryville University in 2006 with Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. I always wanted to work in the medical field as my mother was a nurse, but my calling was to be an OT. I have a twin sister with cerebral palsy and have been living the life of an OT since before I knew what OTs did. Being able to help individuals re-gain their independence, find their new normal, fulfill their roles in life and maintain optimal quality of life is what I love most about my job.

Over the past 15 years, I have worked in geriatric care including sub-acute rehab, home health care, a long term care dementia facility and with medical equipment evaluation and implementation; specifically wheelchair and mobility device fitting. I never thought I’d work with the geriatric population, but have gained a wealth of knowledge from my experiences with this population.

When I started with Envision, I had never met a company that was so in align with OT’s core beliefs. The Healthwise program is the piece of the puzzle that has been missing in healthcare. Healthwise focuses on the individual in their normal lives, not just in times of crisis or need for intervention. Healthwise allows us to work alongside the individual at all stages of their life.

When I’m not working, I spend time with my husband and two children, Evelyn and Abigail. They keep me very busy with walks and bike rides, dance parties in the living and movie nights on our couch. My girls also join me in a monthly support group for families with children with disabilities and their siblings. When my girls get older, I look forward to traveling with them and going on adventures.
